Big Sur Ride

(9/20/03) Mike Baker and I do the first day of the challenging Big Sur Ride. Starting in Carmel Valley, we ride to the sea, south through Big Sur along Highway 1, up and over the mountains on Nacimiento Road, and down to Ft. Hunter Liggett. Temperatures range from 40s to 105+. For eight weeks leading to the event, I train fanatically by riding, lifting weights, and doing neurofeedback and Chinese medicine.
